Arthio Films & Music is an independent production company dedicated to raising awareness of humanitarian issues and promoting independent thinking. An international company set up in 2007 by Samuel Stefan, Teresa Stefan and Nick Oakley, Arthio tackles social and cultural matters as well as themes of psychology, mythology and politics through thought-provoking documentaries and investigations into the way we live our lives. Arthio is also involved in the production of filmscores and ambient soundtracks.

 

Arthio is currently in production on Cult a feature length documentary due for theatrical release in earlier 2010. The documentary follows the filmmaker's journey into investigating his past life as a member of a cult, posing the questions why and how he was seduced into a group which ultimately stripped him of his basic human rights.

Shades of Truth (2007) is a short documentary about the present times of war from five seperate viewpoints. The film was met with critical acclaim and premiered at the National Swiss Film Festival 2008 in Solothurn, Switzerland as well as featuring at the 2008 Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival.
